Where did the week go Thursday

HEY...it was Monday a minute ago wasn't it?...AND it was Summer!  Good grief, what happened to summer?...
You know, if I'd taken time between kids and work and become a fan of Sports and ignored life and  watched Sports I'd probably be more aware of time and the change of seasons.......sporting events seem fairly well regulated.
Well who knew THAT would be important later in life?

On the up side, I love sweaters and coats and cold weather gear.  The textures and colors are luscious...plus hats hide hair and coats hide pajamas so it takes less time to get ready to run errands in the grocery-getter on my day off from work..  (That's just being time efficient, not lazy.)

Soooooo...since it's come to my attention that it's November for gosh sakes, let's look at some fashionable Autumn and Winter styles...

Don't let last minute party plans ruffle your feathers...stay adorably cute and elegantly classy in an ensemble of dramatic pink & black by the 'Canine Clothier"  Stand tall and condescendingly give the stink eye to canines who have no time management skills and dare to attend the party nude.

Black Friday is the perfect opportunity to effortlessly run like a champion racing through stores to pick up all those sale items.  Stay stylishly warm in a lovely pink Fleece and Sherpa Custom Dog Coat by Warmwags...and accent those beautiful eyes with the add on snood

You're off to the airport to meet family flying in for the holidays!  This cute double-sided Fleece coat by Bodielicious will keep you comfortably warm while you're jumping up in the air to try to see over the pickups and suvs and find your KIA in the airport parking garage.

At the end of your busy day, relax on the deck and reflect on the past year, contemplate life in general and try to decide if it's really worth the effort to wrap holiday packages or just stick a bow on the shop bag in a lovely burnt orange Pullover Knit Sweater & hat by  Robin at The Doggie Market.

Arms wide open for all those sweet doggie models and kudos to their talented and creative owners!

Happy Thursday!

Nifty things I didn't know I needed...

have you ever come across something you didn't know existed but it completely fulfilled a need?
Not impulse buying, (heaven save me from those cute mini thingies at the checkout counter) but a real time saver or earth friendly item that you just can't live without?

Tah Dah!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> # 1 from April's etsy shop MooreMagnets

It's a "Magnetic Pen, Pencil, or Chalk Holder".   I've got a pretty gray and white one on the metal file cabinets in the office and what a step saver!  They're well made, fit a sharpie or pen and a nice strong magnet.
I love yellow wood pencils and so does my dog who's a chronic pencil thief...they float.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> # 2from Marlene's shop, DetroitKnitter

Marlene makes Washable & Reusable Swiffer Sweeper covers, and Wet Jet pads!  Pretty patterns and colors....These cuties (almost) make taking care of tracked, dog haired and muddy floors fun!  Added bonus of being penny wise and eco friendly.   Very well constructed...I've washed my swiffer sweeper pads twice without any shrinkage or loss of 'poof'.......just ordered the wet pad re-useables, and sure they're going to be just as nifty!

OK..so my life revolves around my dog...who knew?

Have a good weekend and keep your toes warm!

Monday MOPs

After procrastinating about where to start with this blog, I'm jumping in with both feet and doing a happy dance about this listing by Squirrel Moon Knits on etsy...(the artist formerly know as pattoncy). She makes luscious elegant hand knitted pretties for lovely BJD dolls.  Please take a minute to visit her shop even if you don't collect dolls.  You'll be inspired by her eye for color, perspective and knitting skill.

The buttons she adopted for her creation were tiny 7mm vintage Mother of Pearl buttons from my vintage button supply shop on etsy...Odd Cat Buttons

These little pretties were found lovingly wrapped together in the bottom of a box lot at an estate sale. Originally there were 35, but most were discarded because they were chalky beyond saving or chipped and broken. Because of their quality, style and color, I believe they were originally used on a vintage late 1800s early 1900s woman's wedding or travel suit. It makes me smile to think they've received a new opportunity to become cherished.
